O Benefício de Prestação Continuada (BPC): enquanto direito das pessoas com deficiência

Abstract

The article sought to make a reflection, which results from the search for knowledge about the process of obtaining the Continuous Benefit (BPC), for a person with a disability. The objectives of this study are to analyze the access of persons with disabilities to the BPC, verifying the social worker's performance with the benefit and identifying as limitations of access to the benefit. To do so, use a qualitative method, through a documentary and bibliographical research work. It was carried out 8 the survey of regulations that regulate the benefit and a law of the disabled person, who is undergoing a sequence of changes influenced by reflexes coming through the process of the Pension Reform. The results obtained during this study are summarized in the legislation and do not have an evaluation model. It stands out in search of an improvement of services and attendance to the process of analysis of benefit concession. Which is not enough to end the problems and meet all the requests. Therefore, there is a need for complementary studies in subjects related to this area of activity.
