A importância da testagem rápida para HIV na Regional de Saúde do Paranoá - DF, nos anos 2013 a 2015

Abstract

The Human Immunodeficiency Syndrome is a serious global public health problem. Early diagnosis enables development of strategies to prevent and control the incidence of new cases and better assistance to carriers of the virus. The laboratory diagnosis is performed with different methodologies, the Quick Test, detects HIV antibodies within 30 minutes and made free by the Unified Health System (SUS). The aim of this study is to know the HIV cases diagnosed by the rapid test over the years 2013-2015 in the Paranoá Regional Health - DF, identifying the vulnerable population through the variables: gender, age, education, exposure category testing and realization of. This is a transversal study, whose data collection took place after the approval of the Research Ethics Committee in Human Beings. The construction of the database was performed using the registration forms for the Quick Test, compiled in Excel spreadsheet and the results presented in tables. Early diagnosis enables preparation of strategy prevent and control the incidence of new cases as well as enhanced assistance to carriers of the virus. The laboratory diagnosis is performed with different methodologies, the Quick Test, detects HIV antibodies within 30 minutes and held free by the Unified Health System (SUS), due to its practical character, eliminating the need for laboratory structure is used in wide range of vulnerable segments of the population. The aim of this study is to know the HIV cases diagnosed by the rapid test over the years 2013-2015 in the Regional Paranoá Health - DF and check its impact over the two years, identifying the vulnerable population, using the variables: sex, age, education and exposure category. The research is relevant because these are important factors in the development of control strategies and prevention. It is a Cross study, whose data collection will be done after approval by the Ethics and Research Committee on Human Beings. The construction of the database will be conducted through the record sheets relating to the Basic Health Unit Quick Test compiled in Excel spreadsheet and the results presented in graphs. Results: The study included 1233 results Rapid tests for HIV performed in Paranoá Regional Health from 2013 to 2015. The age reagent was 21 to 30 years 39.1% and 31 to 40 years 32.6% an increase in the age group 51-60 years, with 17.4%. Regarding gender, male accounted for 60.9% of the reactants. Regarding the form of transmission results showed heterosexual category with 47.9% reagents. The school level reached by the group was complete high school getting 21.7%. As for the reason for carrying out the Quick Test 73.3% reported opportunistic infections and other diseases, 2.7% with STDs, 26.7% no complaints. Conclusion: The realization of the Quick Test is very important in the detection of new cases of HIV in developing prevention and control strategies, as well as assistance to carriers of the virus.
