Assistência de enfermagem na penitenciária feminina do DF

Abstract

The nursing assistance in the feminine prison of Federal District (DF) assures the effectiveness of the promotion actions, prevention and integral attention to the detainees' health. The objective of this study was to evaluate the nursing attendance rendered to the women that are in the setting of a feminine penitentiary of high complexity in DF, to verify if the politics of health attendance in operation is being used at the prison in subject and to analyze the existence of pathologies associated to the seclusion condition and privation of biological needs. This study was accomplished in the feminine penitentiary nucleus of DF, with the nursing professionals (technical) of the local health nucleus. The research was quantitive and qualitative, exploratory of descriptive characteristic. The research instrument was an applied questionnaire to the nursing professionals and observation of the interns' medical records. It was observed that the nursing attendance in that place is in agreement with the announced by PNSSP, it is a service mainly for the basic attention, where the interns’ attendance takes place and preventive exams of searching character. It was concluded that the detainees have access to the basic health services and that the health attendance made available is in agreement with the National Plan of Health in the Penitentiary System. Most of the detainees are among the age group from 19 to 29 years of age. The most frequent pathologies are: insomnia, depression and migraine. The results, in its majority, were jeopardized due to the lack of time and the professionals' disposition of being interviewed, to the lack of medical records, for the little existence of scientific works in the area.
