Análise dos remanescentes vegetais nas áreas de preservação permanente do Distrito Federal

Abstract

The Permanent Preservation Areas- PPA possess considerable interest for the balance of the environment, playing important role in the preservation of the water resources, the landscape, the geologic stability, biodiversity, the flow of genes of the fauna and flora, besides the protection of the ground and welfare of the human being population. The present study has as objective identify and characterize the categories of PPAs in the Distrito Federal - DF, according to the Brazilian Forest Code of 1965 and the Conama Resolutions nº 302 and 303 of 2002, as well as analyzing the conditions of the photosynthetic activity of its vegetal remainders, using the remote sensing as an efficient tool for the evaluation and the monitoring of the PPAs. The analysis methods had been divided in four steps: (a) image CBERS 2 processing; (b) NDVI application, (c) classification of the photosynthetic activity of PPAs vegetal remainders and; (d) distinction of the PPAs by watershed through the four masks of the PPAs categories of draining, water sources, border of plateau and reservoirs (lakes and lagoons) on the image. The deficient areas about the photosynthetic activity had been identified and related to the human intervention. The results have show that, even presenting areas that no has vegetation, the conditions of the pertaining PPAs vegetal remainders are satisfactory, not being possible to affirm that this absence of vegetation is influencing in climatic changes at the DF. New studies must be stimulated for the maintenance of the monitoring of PPAs photosynthetic activity in the DF, as well as evaluating as the seasonal climatic changes influences in this process.
