Abstract

This article aims to observe the particularities about the role of the social service professional, who works with the families included in the Bolsa Família Program (PBF) within the scope of the Assistance Policy. It is in this context to grasp the challenges in achieving the values and principles established in the code of ethics of social service, and the tasks required in the execution of assistance policies. Social Service is an interventionist profession that appropriates the expressions of the social question and seeks the structural transformation of reality to identify and analyze the reality of these families in view of the principle of the dignity of the human person, non-discrimination . What is happening is that there are still many prejudices in society, and the historical contexts of evolution and transformation of public policies are insufficient to overcome the invisibility of this target audience that these families live on the poverty line.
