Proteção integral na saúde e o papel do assistente social: breves considerações

Abstract

The present article deals with the conception of fundamental rights and the integral protection for children and adolescents within health policies in Brazil, considering the neoliberal offensives of social security dismantling and, consequently, the non - application of the universal right to health. For this, bibliographical and documentary research was used. The need to articulate the social worker with the other health professional categories in the face of welfare and focalist policies that deny the universalist conception of Social Security is concluded. The interdisciplinary articulation of health professionals with the mass movement could exhaust neoliberal influences on health and rescue the sanitary conceptions of the 1970s.
