Mulheres na ciência: um estudo sobre a trajetória e contribuições para a física

Abstract

The difference between genders is something that has not been overcome by society yet. And it will take time for this balance to be established, but the important thing is not to end the debate. Therefore, this work aims to stimulate a discussion of this topic, through a study on the personal and professional biography of Brazilian women who work or have worked in the field of Physics. To do so, we use as main methodological instruments a book of women in physics and L'oreal/UNESCO awards. Among the main results highlighted are the lack of targeted incentives for girls in elementary education and the lack of non-research policy that facilitates or provides access to women in their motherhood.
