Estudo bibliográfico sobre a influência da eletroestimulação na fadiga muscular e no recrutamento de fibras tipo II

Abstract

The electrical muscle stimulation is being used in a large scale in physicaltherapy for treatment and rehabilitation of patients who had orthopedic lesions, and with the objects to gain muscle force based on electrical stimulation of motoneurons with induce the effective muscle contractions. There is a lot of misunderstanding and disagreement by authors about EENM an many studies, principal by metodology and the way of selections the individuals that will be paticipate of study. The electrical muscle contraction happens in a inverse way compared with the voluntary contraction, activating in a selective way the fibers type II, being and effective therapeutic tool in a muscle strength and analyze of fatigue. The propose of this study is analyze the recruitment of fibers type II and the muscle fatigue by electrical stimulation. It was made a bibliographic review selecting books and articles about this topic.
