Trabalho prisional, uma luz no fim da cela

Abstract

This paper aims to investigate in an academic and empirical way the prisoner's access and egress in the Distrito Federal prison system to work and how it can contribute to the social reintegration of the inmate. In order to reach this objective, it will be necessary to study its historical aspects and to analyze if in the present day if the contained norm that deals with the work of the condemned in the Law of Penal Executions portrays the reality lived by them. During the documentary, we will portray crises and mass incarceration, which have a direct negative impact on prison management, not only with regard to the infrastructure of these facilities, but also the state's ability to provide basic needs to the inmates, as well as the work. Subsequently through a questionnaire we will verify the access of prisoners and egresses to work in the prison system, identifying the opportunities and main barriers faced by them. As well as, a questionnaire will be formulated to the Defender, the Judges of the Court of Criminal Execution, Directors and Psychologists about this access to work, aiming to verify what benefits this legal institute brings to the lives of the inmates. Finally, it is hoped with this work, to provide a reflection on the work of the prisoner in the Federal District about the effectiveness of the benefits of the work performed, aiming at the removal of punishment.
