| Abstract: | This memorial refers to the research that brought to life the great report on the Constitutional Amendment Proposal (PEC 223/2012) by Deputy Onofre Santo Agostini (PSD-SC), which provides for the reduction of the age of criminality, from 18 to 16 years, amending Article 228 of the Brazilian Constitution. The bill, which is currently pending before the Senate's Justice and Citizenship Constitution Commission (CCJ), and has no date to be voted on, generates controversial discussions among legal experts, psychologists and young people. The large article contextualizes the opinions of professionals, testimonies of those involved, describes situations, details the proposal being processed and seeks to show the divergent positions. |
