A política externa do governo Bolsonaro para os direitos humanos: direitos de gênero e da população LGBTI+

Abstract

This study analyzes the foreign policy of Jair Bolsonaro's government towards the human rights of the LGBTI+ and gender population. Initially, the conceptualization and historical review of how the human rights of the LGBTI+ population appear in foreign and domestic policy was carried out. Next, the characterization of the Bolsonaro government and its way of doing politics was made, as well as the relevant ideas that elected him and support his government. The role of certain ideas such as: "traditional family", "Christian values" and conspiracy theories that influence the government's policy-making is addressed. For that, a research of his voters was used, as well as the analysis of some relevant speeches to the theme addressed in this work. At the end, it attempted to situate the foreign policy action of the Bolsonaro government in the theme of human rights of LGBTI+ people and gender. After the exploratory research, consultation of journalism sources and review of historical accumulated, it is concluded by pointing out the results of the research and the hypothesis tested. As a result of this research, it is pointed out that there was a change in the conduct of foreign policy, which was considered progressive in human rights, and became guided by Christian values and restriction of some rights.
