Identidade nacional e tradições da política externa brasileira no Governo Bolsonaro (2019-2021)

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the use and application of Brazilian Foreign Policy in the Bolsonaro Government from 2019 to 2021. The analysis of the government during this period will be based on the actions of agents of society beyond the Executive Branch, such as interest groups, states and municipalities, through paradiplomacy, and other Ministries besides Itamaraty, which fill in the gaps left by the President in terms of foreign policy. The work also aimed to understand the elements that form the traditions of the nation's international agenda from its historical accumulation, which condition the country's stance in the International System and form Brazil's National Identity. The positioning of the President of the Republic and other agents in matters involving the State of Israel and Arab States, China and, with it, the pandemic of the new coronavirus, which occurred in the year 2020, will also be analyzed. The analysis will be developed through a consolidated past and a present under construction. Finally, authors such as Lafer (2007), Cervo (2008) and Figueira (2011) form the theoretical reference used to analyze the proposed issues.
