Impactos e mudanças da imagem externa do Brasil no governo Bolsonaro

Abstract

The main objective of the work is to analyze the external image of Brazil projected in the government of President Jair Messias Bolsonaro, observing which were the guidelines of greatest interest to the international public. In order to quantitatively and qualitatively analyze how his government reflected on the country's image abroad, data from several foreign newspapers were used. The work begins with a retrospective of the Brazilian image before Bolsonaro, encompassing the governments of Luiz Inácio Lula, Dilma Roussef and Michel Temer and what were the most important moments that affected the country's image. There was a gradual decline in its image, which during the term of President Jair Bolsonaro intensified as a result of scandals and negative reports. The topics with the greatest repercussion were on the Environment, with a report mostly talking about the Amazon, denialism towards the pandemic and political issues, with emphasis on anti-democratic speeches.
