Um estudo sobre o novo cenário geopolítico internacional a partir das várias dimensões do poder

Abstract

The concept of power plays a fundamental role in international relations, shaping the dynamics and interactions between actors in the international system. Power can be understood as the ability to influence, control or direct the actions of others according to one's own interests. However, power is not just limited to the use of military or economic force, but also encompasses the concept of soft power. Based on this, this work sought to examine different concepts of power and how they relate to political, economic, military issues, among others. In a second moment, it brings data about the power indicators of the United States, Russia and China. Therefore, soft power is the central theme of the work and the countries chosen based on their positions in the current international scenario, aiming to analyze the evolution of soft power and how it shapes the performance of countries in the international scenario. The chosen methodology was the bibliographic review, as well as the analytical research. In this way, the work analyzed the relationship between power - especially soft power - with the structure of the current international system, bringing themes such as globalization, conflicts and the decline of great powers and was able to verify that soft power is one of the main means of subsistence the strength of a country.
