Propriedade intelectual na era digital: oportunidade e desafios do uso de inteligência artificial

Abstract

With the advent of technological advancement and the proliferation of artificial intelligence, it is notable that challenges regarding the implications of intellectual property have emerged. This work explored the consequences of the digital age on Copyright Law guidelines, along with its historical context, from its conception in the Paris and Berne Conventions to the present day, and how such events have affected the understanding of authorship both in Brazil and around the world. Knowing this, the article exposed how new intelligence tools behave when used in the creation of copyrighted works, raising pertinent questions on the subject. Analyses included the evolution of copyright laws and the impact of technology on authorship of works. The study underscored the importance of updating legal guidelines. Given this situation, the present work presented an essential scenario for finding a balance between copyright protection and technological innovation.
