Uma análise da doutrina Clinton a partir dos acordos de Oslo: um estudo sobre a unipolaridade benigna norte-americana

Abstract

This work is an analysis of the status won by the United States in the International System in the immediate post-Cold War. Therefore, it is done an analysis of the guidelines of U.S. foreign policy in the frame time mentioned above. For the purpose of better understanding of this work, there is also the use of three (3) key concepts, which are Benign Unipolarity, Affirmative Multilateralism, and Clinton’s Doctrine. This analysis have as a hypothesis advocated in this paper that Clinton’s Doctrine was used as an instrument of Benign Unipolarity stabilization of International Order. There is, for a better understanding of the work, the study of Oslo Accords case. This was the negotiation of the attempt to achieve peace between the leaders of Palestine and Israel, with official mediation of former U.S. President Bill Clinton ( 1993-2001 ). At the time, these leaders were Yasser Arafat, representing the Palestine, and Yitzhak Rabin, representing Israel. The Oslo Accords were used in this analysis as a tool for enhancing the status of United States.
