Crimes eletrônicos: delitos virtuais

Abstract

This paper deals with the virtual crimes, that with the advancement of technology and information are happening in large numbers. With the growing popularity of the Internet, we find ourselves facing another problem of modern society, called the Virtual Crimes, which despite being called the “cyberspace” have serious consequences in the real world, such as exposure of personal information, the theft bank accounts, information disclosure, libelous, sexual abuse of children (pedophilia), etc. The virtual crimes afflicting thousands of brazilians every year, given the lack of specific law that addresses the issue. Thus, we will analyze the Law 12.737, of November 30, 2012 and Law 12.965, of April 23, 2014, to certify whether they have brought to our legal system solution for such problems. And finally, introduce safety measures that any Internet user can take to lessen the chances of becoming a victim of cybercrime.
