Adesão de dietas em pacientes portadores de diabetes mellitus

Abstract

Diabetes is a multifactorial syndrome, where there may be a lack of insulin or the inability of same, to properly exercise its effects. It can be classified as type 1, where there is total lack of insulin and the patient becomes insulin dependent and type 2, where the inability of insulin to exercise its proper role within the organism. Diabetes has complications chronic and acute. It is now classified epidemiologically as a global crisis in public health and their cases have been increasing more and more each year. This research is a descriptive analysis. Where it has been the analysis of medical records of 14 patients with Diabetes Mellitus with the objective of this research was to show adherence to the dietary treatment of patients seen, and possibly look at the critical points in care, such as a good approach of patients treated with health and nutrition education and a better explanation of the disease. We collected data on sex, BMI, number of returns and changes in weight of each patient and after the data were compiled and correlated to generate the data. The literature review was conducted for articles in scientific in scientific researched sites, like SciELO sites, Google Scholar and Diabetes Care. It was found that most patients with BMI's ranging from overweight and obesity and that obese patients have more difficulty in adhering to dietary treatment and that men adhere to treatment more than women, which does not mean that the adhere to the treatment the patient adheres to dietary treatment. For that we pointed to the need for patients most massive nutritional education and monitoring and greater clarification of the disease.
