Indisciplina em sala de aula: estratégias de enfrentamento

Abstract

Whereas indiscipline is a problem that has been strongly experienced in the school context, this study aimed to understand how the teacher, along with the teaching staff, might deal with this phenomenon in the classroom. To achieve this goal, first sought to describe-the indiscipline in the school context by identifying its causes and manifestations and describe the factors that have influenced this phenomenon. The theoretical framework and the discussion were based on authors such as Aquino (1996), D'Antola (1989), Estrela (2002), Parrat-Dayan (2008), among others. Using a methodological approach of qualitative nature with use of the instrument questionnaire survey, field research was conducted with 19 teachers from 1st to 5th grade of elementary school and 45 students of 4th and 5th year of elementary school of a public institution of administrative region Gama in the Federal District. The results showed that although many of the teachers relate the discipline to factors outside the school, internal factors such as their own practice or methodology adopted by the school can also influence such a problem. It might punctuate the need that the family has to be recognized as the main responsible for the ethical and moral education of our children. The work was completed by proposing a more sensitive eye on the discipline and ways to face such a challenge in the school context.
