Espaço escolar e a educação alimentar: os desafios nos anos iniciais

Abstract

Childhood is a stage of life in which there is a process of human being formation, and the construction of healthy eating habits in this period is very important, especially to prevent diseases, overweight and obesity. Therefore, the objective of this research is based on the investigation of what connections there are between education and healthy feeding inside the scholar environment. Thereupon, a qualitative research was made by using in this collection of information, the observation of students from first and second years of elementary school and an interview with teachers from these classes in a public school of Distrito Federal. Through this survey,we can conclude that the institution concerned has educational actions linked to healthy eating habits, but in a sporadicway however it is necessary for school not to be seen exclusively as an efficient system to bring education, but besides this, care about student’s health.
