| Summary: | O presente trabalho objetiva analisar o Direito Internacional dos Refugiados e os principais instrumentos jurídicos internacionais e nacionais para a proteção de refugiados. Evidencia-se que a proteção dos direitos humanos se tornou tema abrangente após a Segunda Guerra Mundial. Além disso, constata-se que o período do pós-guerra intensificou o crescimento do fluxo de refugiados e de deslocados internos no mundo. Estudou-se, assim, o desenvolvimento do Direito Internacional dos Refugiados e a institucionalização do tema. Em seguida, buscou-se apresentar a situação dos refugiados no contexto brasileiro, a internalização das normas internacionais e as principais deficiências do Brasil quanto à proteção e assistência de tais indivíduos. Ademais, abordou-se a situação dos refugiados da Síria no Brasil, assim como as dificuldades enfrentadas por esses indivíduos no país de origem e no território brasileiro. |
| Abstract: | This work aims to analyze the International Refugee Law and the main international and national legal instruments for the protection of refugees. It is evident that the protection of human rights has become overarching theme after World War II. In addition, it appears that the postwar period has intensified the growing flow of refugees and internally displaced people in the world. It was studied the development of International Refugee Law and the theme institutionalization. Thereafter, the research aimed to present the situation of refugees in the brazilian context, the internalization of international norms and the main weaknesses of Brazil regarding the protection and assistance of such individuals. In addition, it addressed the situation of Syrian refugees in Brazil, as well as the difficulties faced by these individuals in the country of origin and in Brazil. |
