O desenvolvimento de estados falidos e a educação: a insuficiência de dados de investimento no setor educacional

Abstract

In the late twentieth century, the States considered as threats to regional and global stability for hosting problems as parastatal armed groups, poor infrastructure and government services not recognized by a large portion of the population, came to be known as Failed States. For years political scientists have theorized about how to develop these States to address threats that led to their neighbors, and only in 2005 an international institution conceptualized and studied their failure for the first time. All former European colonies, they are securitized by great powers. Some even are invaded and have their problematic working structure reordered according to the interests of interventionist States, which further aggravates the problem most of the time. One of the solutions proposed by scholars is that by investing in education, all States, including the failed, could achieve human development, and it is about finding out whether there is evidence that in fact investing in education can solve this dilemma what this work is about. To do this, shall be used the securitization and developmentalism theories as bases to the analisis and theoretical framework, and all the database will be from 2005 on.
